Hi, I’m Lindsay, a single mom with a toddler, living in New York City.

My experience of parenting has been the experience of navigating transitions – some small, others not. Each transition has carried its own wave of uncertainty but once I got to the other side, I found possibility, excitement and relief.

In poetry, The Violet Hour is the transitional time between day and night, the in-between, liminal space that can evoke feelings anxiety and excitement, both the magic of the unknown and the fear of it.
